This is a great movie, far ahead of its time. This early move deals with homosexuality & blackmail. Dirk Bogarde is excellent in it. Impressive cast and outstanding performance. The script maintains a gripping interest throughout.
The suspense is carried along beautifully, keeping the audience guessing. You are never sure how it is all going to turn out, there are no easy solutions, there are some wonderful subplots, unexpected little surprises.
