Review of Viceroy's House (2017) by Graham J — 09 Mar 2017
With a hint of Bollywood without being a musical, this lavish exotic period drama presents a simple version of the historic independence and partition of Pakistan and India.
It is two stories that are welded together. A dumbed down love story that has nothing to do with second story, the high level politics that led to independence. At times it veers towards farce as international politics is interrupted by our bumbling romantic from Punjab after his girl.
Spectacular and well shot scenes & historical nature makes it a watchable film.
