(1988) Vice Versa.
ROMANTIC/ COMEDY/ DRAMA.
This film flopped at the boxoffice while the overrated "Big" with Tom Hanks did financially well. This is the most subtle and romantic version of the "vice versa" theme in which the two characters switch places with another so that the other knows what the other feels which is the reason why I like this film so much. There's a romantic feel to this film in which the son (a young Fred Savage) actually hears for the first time how the girlfriend actually feels about the person she wants to marry but doesn't know that the son had already switched places with his dad(Judge Reinhold), identity wise. It is personal scenes such as that which makes the characters one of the most credible and understanding out of the whole genre.
4/4.
