Christian Bale totalling transforms himself into the former Vice-President. It is a performance, much like Gary Oldman last year, that must be real to guarantee the success of the film. There isn't much that is new or revelatory, but the film offers some key insight into the workings of Washington and how power can corrupt.
Interestingly, with our current President in 2018, some of these revelation seem somewhat mellow.
