Review of Vice (2018) by Tropicaces — 25 Dec 2018
There’s a good movie buried somewhere in here, but just like “The Big Short,” McKay the director gets in the way of McKay the screenwriter. The tone and pacing are all over the place, and by the end McKay tries to act like Cheney was doing what he did out of love for America, except the first two hours do nothing but paint him as an oligarch.
Bale is great and Carell is fun, though.
