Review of Vertigo (1958) by Daniel R — 28 Sep 2011
I've started watching Hitchcock films lately. As a relatively young film fan (31), I feel like I need to stock up on some oldies. I really enjoyed this one, but not as much as psycho.
The plot twisted and turned and I was interested from start to finish, which is no bad thing for a film made over half a century ago. I had only one problem: Kim Novak's reveal of the twist comes too early. If the film were to be made from scratch today, I think the entire reveal would be done in the final scene, so as to pack it with more punch.
Other than that, very good indeed.
