Review of Vertigo (1958) by Late R — 31 Mar 2018
Absolutely magnificent, 'Vertigo' is a masterclass of storytelling and filmmaking. The story is exceptionally well-written with incredible depth and many shocking twists; just when you think that's it, another turn of events takes you completely by surprise, leaving your head spinning and in a state of complete awe at what's going on.
Hitchcock's directing is supreme with a great use of camera-work, music and effects, putting it together wonderfully to create the maximum amount of intrigue, mystery and suspense. What a treat with an unpredictable conclusion that ties everything up neatly and leaves you reeling.
