One of the best films I have ever seen! I was reluctant to watch this film in the first place but after the "Do you remember the fuss you made about going to see Love Actually" argument from my wife I agreed to give it a go.
From start to finish the story is a complete masterpiece. I never read the novel which made the movie that much more powerful. It is hard to review the story without giving too much away. I have only been moved to tears twice before - E.T dying when I was five years old and every Christmas at It's A Wonderful Life. VDD becomes the third on the list and totally deserves to be there.
Wonderfully scripted by Larry Gross and superbly directed by Emily Young.
If you are dubious about watching this movie as I was and decide to give it a try you will be forever in my debt. (I accept all major credit cards in thanks :) ).
