Or the One For Marshmallows...

I was a big fan of the Veronica Mars series, and an even bigger fan of the character. It's the best role I've ever seen Kristen Bell in, and it's one of the best female characters on TV. She's smart, she's bold, she doesn't take crap from anyone, but she's also able to be emotionally vulnerable. Creator (and writer/director for this film) Rob Thomas has been able to find a way to make a snarky teen detective that seems like a fully fleshed out and real person. Sure, she's way too smart and way too pretty, but it works for her.

This film, a continuation of the TV series, is such a strong film in and of itself that fans of the TV show will love it, but it might earn some new fans as well. I think everyone can enjoy this, even if you get some of the easter eggs and references better if you're a long time fan. The mystery and the story is strong, but what is the strongest element of the film, was the strongest element of the show, the characters. All of our normal characters are here, but we've also got some new ones thrown in as well. With an ensemble this big it would be easy for characters to get lost in the shuffle, but none do. Thomas seems perfectly able to handle this cast, and it feels like a family reunion in the best of ways.
