Review of Veronica Mars (2014) by Stephanie S — 14 Mar 2014
I loved the series. Own it, watched all seasons a few times. I was disappointed with the movie. I'm a backer, was really excited. It seemed like it was rushed. People popped up for 30 seconds just to be there. No real purpose. Are we really to believe that everyone continued to date in the same circle of friends as high school?
Spoilers below ***********.
Logan recites a conversation that he had with Veronica in high school while he was drunk. He admits to not remembering the next day so how was he able to recite it nine years later? And the side story with the police station being corrupt went nowhere. Who was driving the hit and run and rerun car and why? Doesn't make sense to be the same people behind the murders does it? And when it gets down to the actual story behind the murders it was pretty boring.
There was a lot of great jokes and great potential but I feel like a lot of time was wasted showing characters from the show that had no point in the movie and cameos that didn't add anything to the story.
