We've forgotten what life was like before David Steel championed the first Act of Parliament in Great Britain to legitimise abortion under certain circumstances. What is so gut wrenching about this film is just how ordinary it all is and how mundane is the rift between offering assistance beyond the scope of the law and complete moral censure.
