Peter O'Toole is magnificent in this witty drama centered on two aging actors and a bratty teenage girl. I'm getting more and more dissappointed in Forest Whitaker's win of Oscar that year with such strong and deserving performances from both Peter O'Toole and Ryan Gosling in "Half Nelson.
" Overall, it is a British film whose quality can almost always be guaranteed. The supporting cast is great also, with Jodie Whitaker's breakthrough similar to Jennifer Hudson's but unfortunately without all the spotlight.
I feel truly sorry for O'Toole missing out on Oscar yet again.
