Review of Velvet Goldmine (1998) by Lisa B — 19 Dec 2007
Glam rock is cool, Todd Haynes drools. So much of me (and you, I'm sure) wants to like this movie, but let's face it - it's a story told through a bunch of press conferences, music videos and confessionals spliced together.
And it feels like it never ends, because Haynes goes through ups and downs unyielding. Totally pretty, no doubt, but let's not get carried away with ourselves.
