Whammo! A movie that doesn't couch sexuality in the language of human rights, that isn't pushing an explicit political agenda, and that has no interest in victimizing the culture. For one brief moment in rock history, glam ruled the world.
And I don't know what's more appaling: that Todd Haynes had the gall to ape Citizen Kane, or that he actually pulls it off. That's fucking ambition.
