While this is not a movie I'd watch frequently, I enjoyed it. McGregor (as always) is wonderful to watch -- he is an actor who can bring such honesty, such passion, and such insight to a character -- whether he plays it outlandishly or straight-forward (and he does both here).
McGregor is the true...read more star of this movie, though Christian Bale does well too. I was not overly impressed with the Slade character, but maybe that's because I felt like he was more of a cypher than anything else.
Still - if you have an open mind, it's worth a look.
