Review of Vanishing Point (1971) by Stephen S — 26 Aug 2007
It's not really about the car, but it is. It's also about one man's search for purpose, for finally accomplishing a goal, having failed at everything else in the past. You may not get it. You may if you're into cars and existentialism. In the post Summer of Love world, after hippies and flower children come down off the high, the movie's soundtrack asks, 'Where do we go from here?' What's it all mean, man?
This one is a holy grail for Chrysler products fanatics. Chrysler products abound, from the lead role to the blue meanines, they're evrywhere.
Make sure to watch the UK release with scenes that were cut from the US version.
