Review of Vanishing on 7th Street (2010) by Jennifer G — 20 Jun 2011
A zombie movie without zombies. What looked (to me anyway) as an impressive, almost Alan Wake plot ended up being the darker counterpart to M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening-whereas that movie was an hour and a half of Mark Wahlberg running from the wind, this film is an hour and a half of the ever terrible Hayden Christensen running from shadows.
I cannot stand Christensen. Call bias if you will, but this film was terrible. There are no scares, the main plot is never resolved, and all the acting is poor. If you are looking for a sleeper horror/sci-fi film as I was, steer clear of this absurd production.
