Review of Vanilla Sky (2001) by Isabella H — 28 Oct 2010

Going to watch this movie, I really didn't expect too much. I ended up only shocking myself though because is definitely a masterpiece of a film and I don't see how some people can hate it. You really have to watch this with an open mind otherwise you'll get lost in a heartbeat and automatically say "I hate this movie! I just don't get it!" People who don't get this movie are just too stupid to look deeper into it.

I really enjoyed the cast in this movie. Say what you want about Tom Cruise and his beliefs but he delivers a strong performance here. Cameron Diaz was also great as well. I really liked Penelope Cruz though, not only is she very beautiful but she delivers an excellent performance as well.

The story is definitely intriguing from start to finish. It really makes you think about what is going on. The ending is by far one of the most heartbreaking endings you'll ever see but it's also one of the most beautiful. Cameron Crowe truly does deliver an "Underrated masterpiece" here.
