Boy, talk about a downturn. The original Spanish film(also starring Penelope Cruz) is fantastic. Now Cameron Crowe comes along, changes the setting from Spain to New York and casts a bunch of A list pretty people headlined by Tommy Cruise.
Remaking should come with a tagline: Better to watch the original. I hated this film which I felt was a mashup of a thoughtful story into pop culture footnotes. Suggest you go and rent the original.
