Review of Valmont (1989) by David A — 11 Nov 2007
A more playfull, sexy and violent version of Dangerous Liaisons. The cast can't compete but the imagery is lush and lavish and the story actually works better here. Firth and Tilly are especially disappointing, But Annette Bening is sublime and there are some extremely sexy and beautiful moments.
Far more entertaining to watch than DL if far less substantial.
