EDITED.

At the absolute height of World War II, German generals hatch a daring plan to assassinate Adolf Hitler and effectively render the German war machine impotent. Directed by Bryan Singer, Valkyrie stars Tom Cruise as Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, the real-life mastermind behind the elaborate plot known as Project Valkyrie: a plan to assassinate Hitler and overthrow his government from the inside. Stauffenberg has been a loyal soldier and an asset to the Reich for his entire military career, but after losing an eye, a hand, and three fingers in an Allied bombing, he reaches a breaking point. The destructive madness that his country is unleashing on the world has become too terrible for the colonel to stand silent. He joins the resistance movement -- a treasonous act, punishable by death -- and risks his life and the life of his family for the chance to change history. Comprised of high-ranking officials working in secret, the German Resistance has access to the inner workings of the government and military, putting them in the perfect position to dispatch the dictator and then use his own official contingency plan to seize power -- before the army, the S.S., and loyal party members can put someone just as diabolical in the FÃ 1/4hrer's place.

Directed by The Usual Suspects Director Bryan Singer.

Wasn't nominated for any Oscar, it wasn't much of a Award worthy movie.

Now this is the type of movie that like to call as a Safe movie. it wasn't bad nor it is a masterpiece. it brings your attention to this case in the history in a way you like it. a history lesson that you may find boring while reading from giant encyclopedias, you will watch it with your uttermost interest here.

This is a historical thriller movie that provides us with some suspense and to be honest entertainment will showing us this page in the history of Nazi's, it is a conspiracy movie. it is set in Nazi Germany during second World War. it shows the 20 July plot in 1944 by German army officers to assassinate Adolf Hitler and to use the Operation Valkyrie national emergency plan to take control of the country. Singer did a fine job with it but not great. this movie looks good on eyes, characters are shown in a nice way.

Great cinematography with good art direction and costumes. I liked the visual effects and editing too. Plot on the whole wasn't much well crafted but it wasn't bad at all. just here and there at some places, a bit uneven. Screenplay could have been better. the score was too spooky and dramatic. camera work was haunting to me.

Tom Cruise played it rather quite well. he isn't electrifying but nice. other actors did a fine job. Tom Wilkinson and Bill Nighy are always good.

The movie is a bit of a hollow Hollywood period piece which isn't a surprise but considering Bryan Singer, I expected more. there is suspense you will find it interesting but it has flaws too. but overall you will have a good time.
