Review of Valhalla Rising (2009) by Aaron W — 24 Jan 2011
Did you know that vikings spend most of their day sitting in the grass? Beautiful imagery juxtaposed with brief moments of utter gore. I turned it off halfway through to put on something better, but finished it a couple of days later.
It moves at a snails pace and the lack of dialogue doesn't help the uninformed viewer understand the story. Only rent if you want to watch an existentialist viking nightmare.
