Uh...I honestly have no idea what happened in this film. Except it was really well made. I think some Viking dude and a bunch of Christian Scottish Highlanders became the early expedition that landed in North America and they all ended up having some kind of religious experience.

But...I dunno. I am not sure if anyone does. I really like the director. I think...
