Valhalla Rising boasts a magnetic lead performance from Mads Mikkelsen, it is beautifully shot, features some bloody violence and well directed, but it's thin script and slow pacing and surreal imagery make this Viking Movie/Acid Trip the strangest Viking movie ever made.
