Review of Valhalla Rising (2009) by Silas R — 11 Jan 2014

This is the height of film student masturbation. The cinemetogrpahy is beautiful, but the story is practically nonexistent. It's excrutiatingly slow, boring, and it seems intentionally devoid of anything that makes any of the characters engaging, relateable, or even particularly memorable.

The only thing beyond the cinematography that is good is that for a feature film, it ends in a mercifully short amount of time. Unfortunately, it won't feel that way.
