Review of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) by Lenard W — 26 Aug 2017
Dane DeHaan turns into this year's Taylor Kitsch starring in two huge bombs. This time, DeHaan stars as comic book hero Valerian tasked with protecting Alpha from irradiation. DeHaan mostly comes off as a teenager pretending to be a cocky outer space bandit.
A Han Solo in Luke Skywalker clothes. He is partnered with the photogenic Laureline who is supposed to be his equal but still needs to be rescued when she is kidnapped by space traders who actually eat nubile women.
Visually, this movie is unlike anything else you have seen, but humanity is still evil and destroying Utopian worlds.
