Review of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) by Regina P — 07 Mar 2018
Well...i see why it flopped. it was actually better than lucy and fifth element, films for which I didn't care much. cara delevigne's acting was the least problematic. dane's role probably should have landed somewhere between hans solo and james bond.
And Rihanna's (lack of) acting was just downright distracting. the movie had way too much avatar and star wars going on. I don't know who wrote what first, but I do know that those 2 properties made it to the screen first.
..and that's a problem. it's not going to feel fresh to the audience. And that virtual mall scene was just too illogical even for a sci-fi flick.
