Visually, it was fantastic. I loved the virtual reality/other dimension scenes, the designs were gorgeous, and the beginning is undoubtedly a work of art. Unfortunately, the characters were stale and the romance obnoxious.
As far as things go, if you want to turn your brain off for two hours this is a movie to go with.
