Review of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) by Nccrank — 23 Jul 2017
Outstanding visuals, and incredible to see in 3D this movie disappoints slightly in the two leads. They have zero chemistry, and not much acting skill. The somewhat predictable story is told very well, and blends with the visuals to highlight the director's creativity.
It's a shame the two main protagonists aren't more engaging. Overall, this is really worth seeing in the theater - if for no other reason than the stellar 3D. Just be prepared to be slightly disappointed in the story due to the lack of chemistry.
