I thought it was very imaginative, creative, and fun. Acting wasn't the greatest, but really cool action sequences and a lot of awesome special effects. It felt like Luc Besson dug out his fifth element chops.
And I loved that movie so yeah not sure why such negative reviews. I hope they make a second one, I would go see it!
