It was a novel plot that wasn't simply a rehash of a previously told story. It did take a while to warm up to the lead actors and they will certainly never be confused for being great, but their characters did eventually grow on me.
Excellent graphics and yes, there were similarities that could be drawn to Avatar. But they're similarities, not blatant invitations as some reviews would have you think. It's fun movie that's fun to watch.
