Review of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) by Joe L — 21 Jul 2017
"Valerian" is fun and spectacular. It tries new things, and it feels like it was made by actual human beings and not corporate drones. It's a wide-eyed love letter to Luc Besson's childhood fantasies. For me, it was a much-needed breath of fresh air, and it deserves better.
If you care more about heart, soul, love, passion, energy, inspiration, and vision above all else, then you just might agree with me.
