Review of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) by Tom T — 19 Jul 2017
A pleasant surprise in the summer. Very very enjoyable. Its like fifth elements meats men in black style. Its a fun story with great effects. Great supporting cast. Cara does a great job. She steals the movie.
Dane, I'm sorry was the only thing that I'm unsure about in the movie. He's a little flat and every emotion he has sounds the same. Gimme some excitement in your voice when you delivers some of those quick witted lines.
And when he walks into the gentlemans area all I can hear is "Arnt you a little short for a stormtrooper" as he is the shortest out of all of them in this fun scene. That said I hope the world goes out and see's it so Number 2 and 3 get made.
Don't disappoint me and not give me my sequel like John Carter and Golden Compass. I'm sick of Critics controlling how movies do and don't see a fun movie when they see one. The rave about artsy movies, some great but others boring and only rave about it because its an indy film and slam anything thats considered a popcorn movie.
