Valerian was a huge disappointment. The visual effects were awesome and the store line, although not original, was still pretty good. What killed my interest?
The cocky, womanizing personality of the main male character. Both he and the leading female character did not act like professional soldiers at all. (Typical) I get this was a comic book series, but an element of reality and humility would've made this movie a hit.
Still it's worth seeing and judging for yourself.
