While this update makes the story fresh it does not capture the laugh out loud funny moments of the original. Ed Helms tries hard to make his mark in the Chevy role but he isn't as funny as Chevy and Applegate seems wasted as the mother.
Great cameo by Hemsworth and some gags are amusing but give me the 80's version any time. 11-03-2015.
