Review of V/H/S/2 (2013) by Widyo W — 07 Jul 2013
While I liked the original title better (I guess not everyone understood S-VHS, a more clever title), V/H/S 2 takes the format developed by its admirable predecessor to a whole other level. Twisted, funny, and disturbing, there are no wasted segments in this sequel.
The true highlights are the cult segment and the alien abduction segment, but the whole film including the frame story is solid. Creepy, brutal, and stylish, V/H/S 2 will constantly surprise you as it takes one staple horror storyline after another and turns them on their heads and proves their is still life in the found-footage format.
