Much like the first film, V/H/S/2 is hit-and-miss. "A Ride in the Park" and "Safe Haven" are both fiendishly fun and inventive. However, the rest of this anthology is pretty dull, lackluster, and sometimes just plain annoying (i.
E. the strobing lights and overly messy camera work of "Slumber Party Alien Abduction"). I like that this franchise truly embraces the hard R horror elements but I hope that the next installment improves in the story department.
