The segment of VHS2 directed by Gareth Evans (The Raid) and Timo Tjahjanto is one of the best pieces of cinema I've seen this year. It's bold, tense, haunting, inventive and brilliant. As for the rest.
.. it's more of the same 'meh' VHS action that the first film had. Worth watching for that one insane and incredible half hour sequence alone though.
