Review of V/H/S/2 (2013) by David B — 03 Apr 2014
After a lackluster start, V/H/S/2 shifts into a higher gear -- and vastly improves over its 2012 predecessor. The concept is the same but the stories (or found footage) different. Also this is alot more gorier, it's not so much as it is scary but it is alot weirder.
The film was also easier to follow than the first. Unique camera angles and shots, the camera in the eye storyline was a great idea, though one that does standout is the school "Cult" which is weird and sometimes disturbing.
Weather this was meant to happen, it did have some dark humorous moments, mainly in the zombie story. The plot is rather simple but effective and the cast is great, each taking their roles to their own.
It is better than the first film, if not more realistic but it's a perfect film to watch in the dark. You have been warned though, it is gory.
