Review of V/H/S/2 (2013) by Javis C — 06 May 2015

When I watched the first film I never had in mind that there could be a sequel to it, I decided to watch it because the original didn't satysified me, it needed more. And in first I didn't had high expectatives about the sequel, I watched it and surprise ... IT WAS BETTER THAN WHAT I IMAGINED!

It begins with a couple apparently investigators or something like who enter into a house after a woman called for their help to search her missing son, inside the house they find as the last film, a creepy house with some TVs turned on but with estatics, a laptop and many VHS tapes, the guy goes searching the house and the girl stays watching the tapes, and we have a delicious taste of joyful horror clips.

"Phase I Clinical Trials" it was a good start for what is coming next, we have a guy who has a weird eye implant which make shim to see dead people yes, it sounds like the Sixth Sense and The Eye, but believe when I say that it really creeps you out.

"A Ride in the Park" short, but satisfying enough, and why? Well here we have ... ZOMBIES! and some of the best I've seen in my life, no exagerating, we need more of this stuff.

"Safe Haven" is the weirdest of the clips, which begins like a normal typical crazy people, they belong to a bizarre cult, who commit suicide and kill other people because that's what their believes order to do, but the ending of this clip is what gives not only the clip but the full movie a fresh turn.

And finally ...

"Slumber Party Alien Abduction" well, it was scary, the aliens were lieka mix of zombies and Spielberg's aliens, I mean no only the aliens but the whole clip, I felt the clip needed something new, it's something that we have already seen before many many times, so it turns boring and ... I have to comply the use of a dog for this clip, come on guys animals do not deserve to suffer anymore, please stop using animals or at least do not kill them, or is it because I am an animal lover and this stuff shocked me? However this is the clip that made the movie to not have a perfect review, it spoiled the movie, but till a point where we hate the film, cause the ending of the film is satisfying and awesome.

So in the end V/H/S 2 is an improvement over V/H/S, there's lots and lots of good gore, scares, nudity, new stuff that really feels fresh and ZOMBIES! I WANT MORE!!!
