The Guy Fawkes mask has become a symbol of anonymity/privacy, and standing up against the man. One film did that. Should there really be any more said about it? While the story itself is kind of cliché, it does have a good old-timey feel to it.
And the most important part is the meaning behind it all. The message it tries to send. Which does so quite well in my opinion.
