Review of U.S. Marshals (1998) by Ven-Wede — 13 Jan 2012
A generic action movie, and nothing more. The plot is nothing you haven't seen before, and the 'twist' is trite and predictable. Of special note is the direction, which is particularly bad; often the camera will not-too-subtly zoom in on important plot-points.
There is also a cheesy overuse of slow-motion, within-film flashbacks and a score so bland you barely notice it; leading to underwhelming action sequences and a lack of tension. Characters lack substance and seem to be merely plot devices rather than people.
Give it a look if you enjoyed its prequel, The Fugitive. If not, then you will not be missing anything by skipping over this film.
