Review of Urban Legends: Final Cut (2000) by Omar S — 02 Oct 2009
And so the sequel to the slasher "Urban Legends" continues and the story is that a Amy Mayfield is doing her movie thesis about a pyschopath who murders college students using urban legends and through shooting the movie, mysterious things start to happen.
Cast members start falling all around her dying like urban legends say. Can Amy stop it or not? Seems like a good storyline, right..But it wasn't! They should've named the movie "trying to surpass the orginial" Legends Never Die.
The storyline didn't balance out and the killings weren't even "Urban Legends" probably one or two. But that wasn't enough, I thought it was ALL the way but the killings in this part were more gore-ish and blood-ish then the first one so that's a plus.
And please don't get me started on the acting, I've never seen more horrible acting in..well, in horror movies in general! But the come back of Loretta Devine in this one was a great add to the movie, other than that the movie was very stupid to watch.
I expected more from it.
