Review of Upgrade (2018) by Cokronakan — 12 Jun 2019
This movie felt like a real try hard futuristic soft horror, on which it delivered perfectly. The acting was really good, and the Tom Hardy looking Logan M. Green did a great job on delivering a fully human, and later realistically robot like movement based character.
The directing was great with a fresh feel to the dialog and script and with the amazingly executed action scenes and the character focused steady cam movement. Also the story unfold in very unpredictable twists, giving it more entertainment value overall.
The visuals looked really good on such a medium budgeted movie, and the sound effects where quality as well. It delivers on every aspect for it to be a good movie, but does not over perform. Nothing works together in an overly good fashion.
The message of the movie has something to say, but sadly it doesn't help that this message's market is oversaturated. Overall it's good movie, but with more detail, immersion and certain thing done better could have been an amazing one.
