Review of Up the Academy (1980) by Douglas P — 27 Mar 2008
25 years ago when I first saw this I was enchanted by the raunchy jokes, Barbara Bach's cleavage, and the soundtrack.
The only thing to truly resonate is the soundtrack (I guess cleavage wasn't as big back in 1980 than it is today).
The film feels stiff today - unfunny sequences strung together with a good zinger of a joke every now and then. And Stacy Nelkin was/is the cutuest thing. Better than 'Meatballs 2' by a long shot.
