In a slog of 2009, Up is basically all I need to restore my faith in the universe. It's colourful, action packed and a stunningly effective movie: seriously, the opening minutes are going to hit you like a train.
..that carries trains. But thanks to the magic that Pixar seem to own, it evolves into a fantastic thrill ride that most big budget movies cannot do. Up is one of the best films of the year, maybe even the decade, and possibly the best Pixar film to date.
Go see Up, it's a damn masterpiece.
