Review of Up (2009) by Lucas C — 24 May 2015
Never before have I cried so much in a movie. Everytime the main score came on, I couldn't help but well up in tears. The most amazing thing about this story is that such strong, rich character development can come out of such a family marketed picture.
I was incredibly blown away! This is up there with one of my favorite movies of all time. I think taking my number three spot behind Apocolypse, Now! and American Beauty. Speaking of beauty, whoever story boarded for this picture did an impeccable job.
Never before have I been so grasped by colorful visuals. There were times that I was a little perturbed but the Classic Disney / adventure story arch, but Pixar barely made up for that by having such deep subject matter.
I was blown away, and you will be too. Watch this movie, it is a cinematic masterpiece.
