I liked the transformations that each character goes through. You have the incorrigible womanizer that falls in love, the manipulated and corrupted naive youths, a virtuous widow that succumbs to another man's wooing.

Sooo interesting. The ending was sad. As usual. And that's what makes these period Korean (and Japanese)films so captivating.
