A fascinating look into the history and ideology of Norwegian black metal through the '80s and '90s; its transformation from pure expression to twisted and misunderstood "trend," and its connections to arson and murder.
The doc lays out those latter events as best it can, given the situation is a tangled web of hearsay. Extensive interviews with Gylve Nagell and Varg Vikernes are captivating.
