Review of Until Death (2007) by Bobby L — 03 Feb 2010
JCVD plays a very loose canon, dirty cop who falls into a coma after a bad bust. Waking up, he doesn't remember everything, and has to put the pieces back. It's alot for hm to carry, and he's mostly up for it.
His supporting cast, including Stephen Rea, help him immensely. Also, mad props to the costume designers and make-up artists as Van Damme looks really different here than in all his other movies, and it allows you to more easily believe in the character vs.
seeing him as JCVD as X. There are some very predictable parts (of course the wife gets kidnapped) but, they never get too bogged down in that stuff.
